We deliver unique, authoritative and independent reporting from the frontlines of crises to inspire and mobilise a more effective humanitarian response.
After 19 years of award-winning coverage with the UN, we have started a new chapter: IRIN is now an independent, non-profit media organization. Our core editorial objective is to highlight neglected crises and analyse humanitarian action. Outside of the UN, IRIN is better positioned to critically examine the multi-billion dollar humanitarian aid industry and continue to do what we do best, deliver in-depth reporting on crises often forgotten by the mainstream media.
This is IRIN's transition website, where you can find information about us and read new formats on the multimedia and data and graphics pages. We will continue to publish articles on our main website until it is redesigned in 2015. Search it here:
